The former Manchester United star Brandon Williams, who was once tipped to replace Luke Shaw at left-back, is currently out of work after leaving the club at the end of last season.

Brandon Williams has made 51 appearances for United, but only one came under a manager other than Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford.

Former Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward once told people during a Europa League trip to Astana in Kazakhstan that Williams would replace Shaw as the club’s top left-back, according to The Athletic.

However, five years on from that trip to Kazakhstan. The 24-year-old is now a free agent with no one to sign him this summer after his contract at Old Trafford expired.

Williams, who made 15 appearances on loan at Ipswich as they were promote to the Premier League, is reportedly unlikely to return to the top level of the sport immediately.

The Athletic says not everyone involved with the Red Devils is convince he will return to the top level of football until he reassesses his priorities.

Williams last play for Ipswich on December 29 in a goalless draw at Queens Park Rangers before being bench for the following game at Stoke.

He returned to Old Trafford for assessment in early January and has since become clear he will not be returning to Portman Road.

A report in April from the Daily Mail reveal that ยูฟ่าเบท Williams is set to face trial in March 2025 after he was accuse of inhaling laughing gas while in his sports car.
