Bayern Munich are facing a challenging and difficult time negotiating a new contract with their key attacking midfielder Jamal Musiala.
Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl has admitted the club are struggling to negotiate a new contract with Musiala’s representatives amid interest from a host of clubs including Real Madrid, Manchester City and Manchester United.
Musiala has been a mainstay of Bayern since the 2020-21 season and will be their attacking threat and goal-scoring threat from the 2022-23 season onwards. Plus, his impressive performances for Germany at Euro 2024, where he scored three goals, give the 21-year-old midfielder more leverage.
Musiala currently has a contract with Bayern until 2026 and earns a moderate salary compared to his other team-mates, but the former Chelsea youngster is trying to negotiate better terms, one of which is demanding a salary in excess of €350,000 per week to stay in line with Harry Kane, the club’s top earner.
Both Manchester clubs and Madrid appear to have been handed a boost in their pursuits of Musiala. With Eberl conceding that Bayern are not close to agreeing fresh terms with the attacking midfielder.
‘It’s difficult, but not impossible – as Jamal knows what he has at Bayern Munich,’ Eberl told Sport1 when discussing the prospect of Musiala extending his stay in Germany.
However, despite the difficulties UFABET. Eberl is confident that the contract extension will happen because Musiala knows that he has come this far because of his performances with Bayern.
